Software

It gets better after you own it.

One platform, countless features to come. Updates arrive over the air, throughout the life of the product: new points of interest, deeper guidance, expanded content. Every ENVISION receives them, whenever it was bought.

Digital Camera World

“I think it’s fair to call Unistellar’s Envision Binoculars the smartest pair of binoculars on the planet.”

TechRadar

“The cleverest binoculars I’ve ever used.”

Live Science

“These binoculars have the potential to change everything about binocular observations.”

Five ways to see more.

Constellation lines and star names overlaid on the night sky

Smart Scouting · Night

The sky, named as you sweep it.

Stars, clusters, nebulae, planets, the ISS. Names, magnitudes and distances appear in the field as you move, and step aside when you no longer need them.

Mountain peaks named through the optics

Smart Scouting · Day

The landscape, named as you sweep it.

Peaks, ridgelines, trails, shelters, lakes and springs. Elevations and distances, right where you are looking.

Shareable Targetlock

Lock it. Pass it. Found.

Lock what you have found, hand ENVISION to whoever is next to you, and they arrive at exactly the same point.

500 units. Delivered by the end of November.

Free shipping. Two-year warranty, lifetime on the optics.

Real glass. Real sky. One red overlay.

You look directly through the optics at the world in front of you. Nothing is filmed. Nothing is reconstructed. Nothing stands between your eye and the horizon.

The only digital element is the red augmented reality layer, and it appears when you want it.

No camera. No video passthrough.

The only smart binocular with optical AR for sky and terrain

Binoculars are the most natural way to explore the sky.

And the fastest way to lose it.

Magnification narrows the field. Constellations grow too large to serve as landmarks. And showing the person beside you where to look is close to impossible.

ENVISION answers all three.

Observing with binoculars at night

Orientation

A precise sense of direction.

Augmented reality anchors graphics to the world with cameras. At night that approach ends: stars are far too faint for a hand-held camera to lock onto. ENVISION takes the other path, with sensor fusion referenced to your position, and a patented gesture that lets your eyes make the final alignment.

Questions

Is the image real, or digital?

Real. You look through classical optics at the world in front of you. Only the red augmented reality layer is generated.

Which eyepiece carries the augmented reality?

The right. Your brain merges both views into a single field within moments of first use.

Can ENVISION be used with glasses?

Yes. 11.8 mm of eye relief and retractable eyecups. Dioptric correction is set with the ring on the left eyepiece.

How does ENVISION know where it is pointing?

A custom fusion of gyroscope, magnetometer, gravity and ambient light data, referenced to your position. A single anchoring gesture aligns the overlay precisely with the view.

Is ENVISION stabilised?

ENVISION uses classical optics without stabilisation.

Does ENVISION have a camera?

No. Orientation comes from motion sensors and magnetic sensing rather than from image recognition.

Can the overlay text be resized?

Yes.

How long does the battery last?

Around five hours, or a thousand engagements, per charge. Charging is over USB-C.

Does it work without an internet connection?

Yes. Download the regions you are heading into in advance, and the full database travels with you.

Which languages are available?

English, French, German and Japanese. Spanish and Italian follow.
