TARGETS ENVISION ALLOWS YOU TO IDENTIFY.

ENVISION knows countless points of interest and displays useful information about them, including names, altitudes, distances, and magnitudes. For instance, point it at the Moon and ENVISION will show you where Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed the Apollo lunar module Eagle on July 20, 1969. Here are some examples of targets included in ENVISION’s database:

Augmented Reality Integration

High-Luminance, High-Contrast projection system: The AR system uses a high-luminance, high-contrast microdisplay to ensure that the information overlaid on the natural optical image is clearly visible in various lighting conditions.

High-Quality Optical System

ENVISION combines a high-quality pair of binoculars with an advanced AR system. We use premium lenses and prisms to deliver sharp, clear views.

Companion app

The app provides an interface for selecting points of interest, accessing the database, and receiving guided tours. The app also facilitates firmware updates to ensure the binoculars remain up-to-date with the latest features and improvements.

Precision Orientation System.

GPS and inertial measurement units (IMU): The binoculars access your phone’s GPS position and are equipped with IMUs. Combined with our customized software, this configuration guarantees precise positioning and low-drift orientation by merging data from gyroscopes, gravity and the earth’s magnetic field. Real-Time Data Processing with Bluetooth connectivity to your phone feeds topographic and cartographic data into the system.

Database connectivity

Extensive Map Database: ENVISION is connected to a database of billions of topographic nodes and millions of cartographic items, including mountains, hills, trails, landmarks, water sources, stars, galaxies, and other celestial objects.
Online and Offline : Users can access this database both online and offline, ensuring information is available even in remote locations provided you download the maps of the region you will go to in advance.

How far along is ENVISION today?
When the Kickstarter presale campaign ended in July 2024, ENVISION was still just a proof of concept.
As of October 2025, things look very different: the design is complete, and mass-production tools (molds, test benches, etc.) are already being built. We’ve also started ordering the components needed to manufacture thousands of ENVISION units.
Getting additional orders at this stage is ideal: it helps us achieve economies of scale, streamline production, and move faster. In return, you get a lower price and earlier delivery.

Why does delivery take about a year?
Even though the design is finalized, full-scale production hasn’t begun yet. Right now, we’re completing the molds and test benches, which will be verified and fine-tuned between November 2025 and January 2026 to ensure optimal quality. The electronic boards will be assembled in February 2026, followed by a pilot run in March 2026 to validate and adjust the production line. Mass production will kick off in May 2026.
On top of that, nearly 4,000 units from the 2024 Kickstarter campaign need to be built and shipped first. Orders from this new campaign will therefore be delivered in October 2026.

Is it a real image or a digital image?

It is a real classical optical image. The only digital part is the red AR that is overlayed in your sight.

No, they do not feature a camera.

No, they do not have an integrated camera for that.

Do the binoculars have night vision?
No, they don’t feature night vision, but optical binoculars (like ENVISION) do slightly improve nighttime terrestrial viewing compared to naked eye.

Is the AR projected in one single or both eyepieces?
The high resolution, high luminance AR projection system, a costly component, is only present on the right side of the binoculars. However, for the vast majority of users, the brain naturally merges both views into a single field. After a brief adjustment period, it feels natural, as if both eyes are experiencing the AR display.

Is the overlayed text size adjustable?
Yes it is!

Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes ENVISION works whether you are online or offline. Make sure however to download the maps of the region you will go to in advance if you expect to have limited connectivity there.
