Probablement ant\u00e9rieurs aux plan\u00e8tes, ces ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes pourraient contenir des indices sur la formation du syst\u00e8me solaire, il y a quatre milliards d\u2019ann\u00e9es<\/span><span>. La sonde spatiale est baptis\u00e9e \u00ab Lucy \u00bb en r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au c\u00e9l\u00e8bre fossile d\u2019ancien hominid\u00e9 d\u00e9couvert en \u00c9thiopie. Les scientifiques esp\u00e8rent que les r\u00e9sultats de la mission, qui pourrait \u00eatre lanc\u00e9e d\u00e8s le 16 octobre, rivaliseront avec ceux que cette premi\u00e8re Lucy avait fournis aux pal\u00e9ontologues sur l\u2019\u00e9volution humaine en 1974.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_empty_space\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"vc_custom_heading\">L&rsquo;itin\u00e9raire de Lucy<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><span>Sur sa route vers les premiers troyens, Lucy fera sa premi\u00e8re escale le 20 avril 2025 sur l\u2019ast\u00e9ro\u00efde\u00a0<\/span><b>52246 Donaldjohanson<\/b><span>\u00a0de la ceinture principale<\/span><span>. Cet ast\u00e9ro\u00efde porte le nom de Donald Johanson, le pal\u00e9oanthropologue am\u00e9ricain qui a d\u00e9couvert le Lucy, le fossile d\u2019ancien hominid\u00e9. Seul ast\u00e9ro\u00efde non troyen \u00e0 \u00eatre visit\u00e9 par Lucy, il servira de r\u00e9p\u00e9tition g\u00e9n\u00e9rale pour le reste de la mission.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Les ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes troyens sont regroup\u00e9s en deux \u00ab nuages \u00bb, l\u2019un pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant et l\u2019autre poursuivant Jupiter<\/span><span>, tous deux visit\u00e9s par la mission.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Lucy se dirigera d\u2019abord vers cinq des ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes menant \u00e0 Jupiter, appel\u00e9s les troyens L4 :<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>3548 Eurybate et son satellite, Queta<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>Date : 12 ao\u00fbt 2027<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span>Eurybate fait partie des 60 plus grands ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes troyens.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>15094 Polym\u00e8le<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>Date : 15 septembre 2027<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span>Ce troyen a \u00e9t\u00e9 baptis\u00e9 d\u2019apr\u00e8s la m\u00e8re de Patrocle et l\u2019\u00e9pouse de M\u00e9n\u00e9tios, dans la mythologie grecque.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>11351 Leucos<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>Date : 18 avril 2028<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span>Leucos doit son nom au guerrier ach\u00e9en de la mythologie grecque.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>21900 Oros<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>Date : 11 novembre 2028<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span>Oros porte le nom d\u2019un guerrier ach\u00e9en mort au combat dans l\u2019Iliade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span>La sonde reprendra ensuite la direction de la Terre avant de poursuivre vers le nuage derri\u00e8re Jupiter, les troyens L5 :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>617 Patrocle et M\u00e9n\u00e9tios, avec lequel il forme un ast\u00e9ro\u00efde binaire.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>Date : 2 mars 2033<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span>Premier ast\u00e9ro\u00efde troyen binaire connu, Patrocle est aussi le second ast\u00e9ro\u00efde troyen jamais d\u00e9couvert.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span>La mission officielle touchera alors \u00e0 sa fin, mais Lucy restera ind\u00e9finiment dans l\u2019orbite de Jupiter pour explorer les nuages troyens des ann\u00e9es durant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_empty_space\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"vc_custom_heading\">Observer les troyens depuis la Terre<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><span>Si Lucy sera aux premi\u00e8res loges, les citoyens astronomes peuvent \u00e9galement\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/unistellaroptics.com\/detect-trojan-asteroid-rhesus\/?swcfpc=1\"><span>observer les troyens<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0depuis la Terre.
