High in the sky and visible even from urban areas, <\/span>M3<\/b> is one of the largest and brightest globular clusters in the northern hemisphere. It holds nearly <\/span>500,000 stars<\/b>, some of which are over <\/span>8 billion years old<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

M63 \u2013 The Sunflower Galaxy<\/b><\/h3>\n

Rising high in the June sky, M63 \u2014 the Sunflower Galaxy \u2014 is a beautiful spiral well worth observing, especially if you’re patient.<\/span>
<\/span> Located 37 million light-years away, it\u2019s roughly the same size as our Milky Way and is thought to host a supermassive black hole at its core.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tips for the best viewing experience:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Let your telescope collect light for at least 20 minutes to reveal the fine structure.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • If possible, move away from city lights: a Bortle class \u2264 5 sky \u2014 the kind where the Milky Way is faintly visible to the naked eye \u2014 will help bring out the spiral arms more clearly.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Imagine an explosion so powerful that it lit up the sky in broad daylight for weeks. That\u2019s what Chinese astronomers recorded in the year 1054. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Today, this remnant of a dead star \u2014 the Crab Nebula \u2014 still shines, a quiet witness to both the violence and the beauty of the universe.<\/span>

    Located in the front paws of Ursa Major, NGC 2841 is a spiral galaxy sometimes nicknamed the \u201cTiger\u2019s Eye Galaxy.\u201d Subtle at first glance, it rewards patience: give your telescope several tens of minutes to gather light that began its journey 46 million years ago. <\/span><\/p>\n

    <\/span><\/p>\n

    Little by little, its bright central bulge and spiral arms emerge \u2014 rich in stars, gas, and dust.<\/span><\/p>\n
